Watch Jhene Aiko’s “Trip” Short Film
Jhene is Penny is her 23-minute trek.
Jhene Aiko has discharged another short film called Trip ahead of time of her Trip 17 collection. Aiko plays an artist named Penny who in the midst of grieving the passing of her sibling goes on an unconstrained enterprise with an outsider. It’s cut with talked word verse and new music.
Aiko lost her sibling Miyagi to disease in July 2012. She recorded the tune “For My Brother” for him, which he heard just before he passed away. The tune was later discharged openly.
Jhene clarified her innovative procedure on her new material in a current meeting on The Breakfast club. “I am only truly into conveying everything that needs to be conveyed,” she clarified. “This year, I simply need to demonstrate each side of me. I truly need to plunge into my identity, which I have an inclination that I’ve been doing since I initially began. Clearly, I’m getting more seasoned and I have an inclination that I’m more tuned in to my identity and less reluctant to express every side of myself.”
Talking with Playboy, she shared the idea driving the title. “[It’s] motivated by each sort of outing you could envision: mental, physical, even hallucinogenic,” she said. “I’m at a point where I put everything in the music. It’s a baffle I need individuals to assemble.”
This mid year, Aiko discharged “Hi Ego (Don’t Stop)” with Chris Brown, and “While We’re Young.” The melodies are relied upon to show up on her up and coming collection, which is at present without a discharge date. It is misty if her November single “Crazy person” will be incorporated on the LP.
